Chad
received his Bachelor's
degree in accounting and financial managment from
Ferrum College. While in college, he was employed as
an accounting tutor, and was also elected captain of his
college baseball team. Chad has attended numerous continuing
professional education courses in auditing, taxation,
construction, and employee benefit plans.
Before joining Shelton & Company,
CPAs, P.C., Chad gained experience as a tax preparer at a national
tax preparation company. He also worked as an accountant with a
small company.
Chad is a member of several professional
organizations.
Chad is a licensed certified public
accountant in Virginia and North Carolina.
He is also a certified valuation analyst and performs buisness valuations.
Chad has
responsibility for firm compliance with all current accounting and auditing rules and regulations. He
has extensive construction accounting experience, having worked on
contractors with revenues ranging from $500,000 to $30,000,000.

MASON S. BRUGH

Mason received his
bachelor’s degree in accounting from Lynchburg College and
his bachelor’s degree in history from Hampden-Sydney
College. While in college, Mason worked with several large
contractors in their field operations.
Mason began his career in public accounting
with contractors in 1995. He also served as controller of an
electronic systems contractor for three years. Mason’s experience
has allowed him to work with contractors both internally and
externally. With this knowledge, he understands the special needs
of contractors and can provide useful solutions to the problems
facing them today. Mason is a member of the American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants, and the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Mason is a licensed certified public accountant in Virginia
and North Carolina.
