Requirements for financial statements for contractors are different from those for other businesses. Financial statements for long-term construction contracts meeting certain criteria should be prepared in compliance with Accounting Research Bulletin 45, Long-Term Construction-Type Contracts. Also applicable is Statement of Position 81-1, Accounting for Performance of Construction-Type and Certain Production-Type Contracts, which provides guidance on implementation of ARB 45.
We understand the requirements of those published guidelines and can assist you in proper presentation and analysis of your financial data. As part of the regular accounting service provided, we also include additional accompanying data in graph, ratio, and table format. This data reflects key elements and trends in the financial data to assist in managing your business.
